Ballet Shoes, Soccer Ball and a Wheelchair

I have not been going for any writer’s circle for the past few months and have not been doing any creative writing for a while. For the fear of losing my hold on the English language, I asked a friend to help me out and she would give me prompts for me to write.

I would very much welcome any kind of response to better my writing.

Time given to write was 10 minutes.

The prompt was: “Ballet Shoes, Football Ball and a Wheelchair”

A soft curve carved softly on her delicate lips. The two of them was so similar that it scares her. Yet, they are as different as heaven and earth when it comes to their love of sports. Given that they are fraternal twins and they are of different genders, they never fail to surprise her.

She could not make up her mind when people around her questioned her whom of the two does she prefer. As a sibling, as a role model and her greatest influence. They are both her siblings. They are both a huge part of her life. They both once took care of her and changed her smelly diapers.

On one hand she has a sister who is has the elegance and the swiftness that one can only hope to achieve. On the other he has the agility and the strength that others strife to achieve. As a younger sister she could only hope to be half as good as what they are.

In the back of her head she knew she could never be like them. She could not run like the football player that her sister is. She will never be as graceful as the amazing dancer that her brother is. She will never kick the ball on the grass or feel the satin slipper on her feet. Her life was stuck on the chair. Her legs strapped stiff, dependant on the wheel to walk her around.
