The moderator gave us a phrase and we were free to write about anything that we wanted to. Time given to write was 10 minutes.
The prompt was : "Write an October memory."
The whistle of the wind eases her as she laid her head on the fluffy pillow. She closed her eyes as she took in a deep breath. She let the darkness shower over her as she listn to the song of the whistling wind. Gently she pressed her arms on her eyes. Little twinkle of stars began to emerge.
It was pretty. Very pretty. Like the stars that they shared together for the first time. For the last time. The sky was bright. The stars were twinkling, calling them. Asking to be noticed. They did.
They pulled their car over to the side as they watch those stars. Dancing and enjoying their sky. There were free. They were happy. They were ignorant to the fact that they were at the side of a very narrow road and the headlight just passed them.
She didn't even feel the metal hitting her. But she could smell the iron in her brother's blood splashed all over her. She lost her legs. He lost his life. The stars were their witness.
Notes: Avoid the cliche parts.
